The Uganda Police force has this evening released composite images of the suspected killers of their publicist who was gunned down this morning in Kulambiro, a Kampala Suburb.
AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi who also doubled as the director of human resources in the forces was shot together with his bodyguard and driver by 4 unidentified assailants who trailed the trio, shot at and killed them just a few metres from Kaweesi’s gated home.
The composite images which are deemed as similar to the looks of the suspected killers were released this evening as the police rallied the general public to volunteer any leads and information that could be helpful in apprehending the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
Kaweesi becomes the first senior police officer to be gunned down by trailing armed boda boda assailants who have previously been linked to other killings including most prominently Major Mohammad Kiggundu -Mama Fiina’s late husband who was gunned down in Lungujja, State Prosecutor Joan Kagezi who was waylaid in Najjera and a host of other muslim Sheiks across the country.
