Until today shadowy Facebook character Tom Voltaire Okwalinga alias TVO continues to live as a cyber ‘ghost’ haunting top ranking government officials and the First Family by exposing detrimental information which compromises security of the country.
Highly trained IT experts hired by the State have for long been working to unravel the identity of this cyber bully TVO but he scoffed at them maintaining they will grow grey hair trying to lay their hands on him.
Last year, government identified Robert Shaka a Ugandan working at the US mission as the man behind TVO Facebook page despite infantile denials. He was incarcerated for weeks and later released without charges slapped against him.
Prominent city journalist Andrew Mwenda whose professionalism remains a public debate, however, insists Robert Shaka is the true TVO.
With his investigative journalistic skills, Mwenda published an article pinning Shaka as the administrator of that scandalous Facebook page.
What remains disturbing is whether TVO exists or it’s a pseudo name used by a couple of anti-government bloggers to cast the regime and the person of the President in bad light.
Asked what he benefits with his leaks, TVO says he fights for good governance.
In this interview which was conducted 4 years ago, TVO reveals his obsession for gorgeous singer Juliana Kanyomozi and also credits President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for liberalising the economy since the NRM took over power.
Also this interview could ratify whether the person Okwalinga truly exists or he is a hoax having given another online news site an interview which ran last week.
It could expose him as inconsistent or coherent with his response.

What is your real name, tribe, religion, and where do you base currently?
My real name is Tom Okwalinga, atheist and based in a Kampala suburb.
Who do you work for? And what do you do to earn a living?
I work for myself and in Boda boda business.
What do you think is the best thing and the worst thing that Museveni whom you hate has done as President?
Museveni’s best thing was to liberalise the economy, but ironically the worst thing too is connected to this, since only his close associates benefited from this liberalisation, through corruption, patronage and nepotism.
What political or historical figure most impresses you and why?
My Historical figure who impresses me is Nelson Mandela, and like him I am not afraid to die for what I believe in.
Many government officials have always wanted to know why you allege against the NRM, do you know whether they are actively trying to identify you? And you think there is anyone helping them?
I know many government officials on my case, but I can only promise them that they shall all grow grey hair before they lay their hands on me. The most possible place I will meet them is the interrogation room after the fall of the regime.
What do you gain by revealing State secrets?
I don’t reveal state secrets, I expose the behind the scenes dirty work of the regime. The state of Uganda and the regime are two different entities.
Do you think Ugandans are supportive of what you do?
When you are fighting for good governance, it always follows that most people would want to see such a situation in their country, and I have received much encouragement in this crusade from Ugandans, some openly, others through inbox and others quietly support this mission of fighting for a better governed Uganda.
If there was change of power would you publically reveal your identity?
My identity is that, may be to come in the open and talk about my contribution to change.

My hobby is reading books of history.

I am not married but looking.
