President Yoweri Museveni has appointed former defence minister Hon Crispus Kiyonga an ambassador to Beijing, China in the latest reshuffle.
While sacked director general Internal Security Organisation (ISO) Brig Brig Ronnie Balya has been sent to neighboring South Sudan.
Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) former legislator Ruth Acheng is the new ambassador to Ottawa-Canada replacing Alintuma Nsambu.
Acheng was appointed minister last year only to be dropped by the NRM caucus.
Her appointment is a reward to UPC having collaborated with the ruling party in last year’s election.
She becomes the second UPC official to be working for the regime after Betty Among wife to party president Jimmy Akena who serves as lands minister.
