Tulumbe! Speaker Kadaga, MP’s head to Gabon for Cranes game

Uganda indeed has patriotic citizens. The euphoria surrounding the national team’s participation at the 2017 AFCON competition is good measure. Willing citizens are confidently parting with huge sums of cash to catch the action live as the country takes on footballing giants including Egypt, Mali and Ghana.

Kadaga blows vuvuzela

Last evening, speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga donning her Uganda Cranes jersey checked out of Entebbe International airport headed to Gabon to watch this Saturday’s Cranes game against Egypt’s Pharaohs.

The speaker was accompanied by Sports Minister Charles Bakkabulindi, Tororo Woman MP Anita Among among other MP’s. Already controversial Aruu county MP Odonga Otto was sported in the stands last tuesday as Uganda battled Ghana.

Uganda’s qualification to the continental tournament has lightened the known fact that football is a universal game seeing how ruling party and opposition politicians reacted to the qualification. All sides ganged up to see the Cranes excel.
