Police unveil  Crime Preventer  mobile app

In a bid to combat the skyrocketing crime in Uganda, Police have designed an android app to enable easy reporting of any criminal incident.

The application dubbed Crime Preventer can be downloaded through Google Play Store.

According to the App’s designer it has a number of functions once opened like report crime, traffic police, police leadership, nearby stations, suspect, public notes/alerts and of course your account.

While reporting crime, the app helps you to name the suspect or rush to the nearest police station if necessary.

It was showcased during the police week while opening the kitebi Police post and now it’s ready for roll out

This Crime Preventer answers queries below;

Have you witnessed a crime and want to report it quickly with ease?

Would you like to know the traffic congestion on the road you are planning to use?

Would you like to reach out to the Uganda Police Leadership easily With a touch of a button?

Would you like to locate the nearest police station or post in case of any emergency?

Would you like to know which Police Station your relative or suspect is being held?

Would you like to be informed about the latest relevant public information from Uganda Police Force?

Then the Crime Preventer app is your answer to all the above questions and so much more.

With such an invention police are shifting from the rudimentary methods of reporting crime to match with the new technology where almost all things are executed using internet.
