LIVE : M7 opens 4th EALA meeting in Kampala

President of the republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is right now presiding over the fourth East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) sitting in Kampala.

EALA speaker, Dan Kidega has made the opened remarks in which he welcomed Museveni- the chief guest before commending Uganda government for offering support to EALA members while in the Capital Kampala. Kidega has lauded the people of Kamuli district for re-electing Speaker of Ugandan Parliament Rt Hon Rebecca Kadaga.

While taking to the podium, Kadaga told the President that sometimes EALA members across the East African region have been coming to relate with the locals as a way of marketing the country.

Kadaga also assured the House that the elections for EALA are ready and the Ugandan Parliament will begin debating on them tomorrow.

The term for the current EALA members expires on June 25.
