Africell Uganda, Uganda’s fastest growing telecom this morning launched a drive that will see their subscribers get 1 free GB of data free for swapping their current sim cards for the much faster 4G LTE sim cards that the giant telecom is positioning. Africell says with the completion of laying their high speed 4G cables across the country, customers can now make use of the improved data speeds and limited drop calls.
Announcing the launch of 4G services Milad Khairallah, Africell’s Commercial Director said “4G technology is gaining widespread acceptance by most of our customers across Uganda. The launch of Africell’s 4G LTE services will further expand on our service offering and propel the brand to an even higher growth trajectory, consolidating our leader market position”
Africell customers with 4G devices in most towns across Uganda can now start experiencing superfast speeds by simply upgrading their existing SIM cards to new 4G SIM cards plus earn 1GB free data to start off the super experience. Africell is also offering attractive subscription plans to digital content including a wide range of the latest music, movies and games. Africell has also partnered with leading handset manufacturers and e-commerce retailers for special data bundling offers on new 4G smartphones.
Africell was last December voted the fastest telecom network in Uganda in terms of internet data speeds by Open Signal.
